June Activities In Detail
With Summer in full swing we have been spending a lot of time outdoors- trying gardening, scooty rides and parks. We also had a mini vacation to Montreal so e didn't do any specific activities the last week of June, just a heads up as we delve in!
- Crafts:
-Vegetable print color: We used ladies finger (okra) dipped in paint to do some vegetable printing collages. I outlined them with sketch later to give them a bit of a shape.
- Father's day craft: I used Ishan's foot print to get a giraffe drawing and both father and son used their finger prints to create grass above and below. Picture available in gallery. The activity was fun!
- We have been watering plants together every day while talking about the garden, or atleast trying to!
- Salad making- we tried cutting cucumber and some fruits with a fruit knife.
- Scissor use- I had some paper to shred so I enlisted his help with that!
- Animal movements- we danced around hopping like a bunny, jumping like a frog, stomping like an elephant, roaring like a lion, galloping like a horse.
- Animal sounds- pretty much similar, we just did more sounds of the above animals than movement.
- What color is it- trying a game where I laid a few different things of different colors and called out the color for him to bring- like blue spoon, purple plate, orange waterbottle, etc.
- Dance party- Party freeze dance by Kiboomers is a big hit in this household lol!
- Music day- we have some toy instruments at home like a xylophone, maracus and piano so took turns creating music.
- Playing outside with chalk- we wrote letters, traced our hands and other objects.
- Pretending to sleep and then wake up like Ms.Rachel has on her show.
- Bath time fun in shower- we sang rain songs, got some cups and a bucket and played with water.
